Mission X is uniquely privileged to have access to the world's finest counter-terrorism training center, King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC, pronounced "Ka-so-tech") north of Amman, in Jordan. KASOTC is first choice for the optimal adventure experience. Access to KASOTC makes Jordan one of the key locations for MissionX adventures and training experiences. To fully appreciate what makes KASOTC the world's most sophisticated special operations training center, please watch the video.
KASOTC was the vision of His Majesty, King Abdullah II of Jordan. As monarch of a country with one of the most capable Special Forces units in the world and with a background in special operations, King Abdullah II wished to create a center of excellence for special operations training. Constructed in the heart of the Middle East, KASOTC incorporates integrated advanced technology throughout, seven ranges, a mock city, special battlefield effects, and a fiber optic network system connecting hundreds of cameras, microphones, target systems, and simulators. Set in twelve hundred acres, the purpose-built facility specializes in counter-terrorism, special operations and irregular warfare. Currently, KASOTC is the only training center of its kind in the world.
Several members of Team MX are proud to have helped develop the concept and execution of KASOTC during its formative years. Mission X co-founder, Charles "CK" Redlinger, was a member of the original team when the newly commissioned KASOTC opened its doors in 2009.
Jordan is a country rich in culture and its people are some of the most hospitable in the world. Jordan is culturally diverse with many different artists, religious sects, and ethnic groups comfortable in a country with a reputation for stability and tolerance. Jordan is home to many ancient historical sites including one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, Petra, famous for its rock-cut architecture and water conduit system. More information on Jordan is available at the official website for the Jordan Tourism Board.
If you have an alternative location in mind, please feel free to contact Mission X to discuss the creation of your Special Operations experience. Adventures, like military operations, can happen anywhere from the harsh environment of the arctic tundra, to the unforgiving dryness of the desert wilderness or the steamy heat of the tropical jungle.
